problem
Triunfo Jiu-Jitsu & MMA is a rapidly growing martial arts gym. However, its existing website suffered from a confusing layout, readability issues, and an incoherent brand identity. Given that martial arts gyms are a highly competitive business in Triunfo's area, it was important for the website to reflect its value proposition.
solution
I rebuilt the website in Webflow from the bottom-up. I've revamped the visual design, site layout, navigation, and body copy in order to convey a confident, inclusive business. I've also added CMS capabilities to make it significantly easier for the owner to maintain the site on their own. Finally, it's fully responsive at all screen sizes.
my role
To diagnose usability, I conducted 9 usability tests and interviews with users of varying degrees of experience with martial arts. After designing the revamped site in Figma I developed it in Webflow using the MAST framework by Corey Moen. I worked with a marketing strategist to rewrite the body copy for both improved usability and tone.
